Expedite Media Group participates in drug prevention education program
Aurora, IL – Expedite Media Group, continuing its history of involvement with child safety issues, has joined the Aurora, Illinois Police Department, as a donor, in the Department’s annual drive to support child safety.
The program, in cooperation with the National Child Safety Council, is aimed at delivering materials into the homes and classrooms of Aurora that educate the community in areas related to child safety, drug and gang issues, Internet safety, peer pressure and other important community concerns.
Expedite Media Group has a history of using its technology to provide services and products related to child safety. In cooperation with law enforcement departments, the company offers, free of charge, its email marketing services to alert people of missing children cases. These email alerts have been instrumental in some cases being successfully resolved. In 2006, the company launched a new product through its Guardian Angel Technology unit, providing GPS tracking on cell phones, again aimed at child safety. About the National Child Safety Council
The National Child Safety Council, based in Jackson, Mississippi, furnishes preventative child safety educational materials to school age children by means of programs conducted by local law enforcement departments and schools. In 2005, the Council has worked with 10,007 schools and approximately 1,346,734 school-aged children. The Council created a selection of new child safety educational materials and updated previous pieces dealing with general child safety, alcohol and other drug prevention, friendly police officers, school bus, seatbelts, sexual abuse, teen dating and child abuse. A total of 184 safety assemblies and 238 safety magic shows were performed.
